JWNDRR President, Akiko Domoto, participated in a panel discussion on December 3rd in Fukushima, organized by the Cabinet Office.
Domoto stressed that women’s participation and leadership is instrumental if the experiences and lessons of past disasters in Japan are to be shared.
Along with the symposium, there was a display of panels and related objects, showing concrete examples of women leaders working on DRR and recovery in the community. Relay talks were also held.
